Confirmation Emails to spam was created by Bryan Siemon
Everyone who purchases a ticket from our websites gets a confirmation email. So it looks like all confirmation goes to the customers spam box. I am using EB and Joomla's core, no Community Builder or Joomsocial.
How to I prevent all confirmation emails from going to customers spam box?
Thanks

Hi Bryan
Events Booking (like any other Joomla extensions), uses use Joomla core API for sending email. The emails itself, actually, delivered by mail server of your hosting provider.
So in case emails go to spam folder, you need to contact the hosting provider and ask them to check it.

Tuan

Thanks,
I am not having that problem with our other registration component DT Register. I will contact Hostgator my hosting company and talk to them. I am wondering, once I move it over to the actual domain with SSL if it will work then.
Thanks

Hi Bryan
The difference between Events Booking (and Joomla core components or other extensions) maybe because Events Booking uses HTML emails while other component like DT Register uses plain text email
I'm unsure and honestly, I don't have much experience with email delivery.

And the same component (Events Booking) works well for most customers, so the only reason I can think of is the mail server. For example, to improve email delivery, sometime, people has to use a mail service like
sendgrid.com/
(of course, it's not required to use Events Booking, just want to show that email delivery depends on mail server)
Also, maybe you should ask someone else to test it to see whether the email goes to spam folder of their mailbox, too?

Email delivery is a complicated topic and it took me hours upon hours of work to get everything 100% "best practice". Some of my emails still end up in people's spam folders. Use
www.mail-tester.com/
to analyse your emails by forwarding a EB confirmation email to the address. They will then tell you what you need to fix/improve.
