24 hr time format for event submissions is an issue for me

I just realized that all time submissions in Event Booking seem to be in 24 hr format. This is rather an issue for my application which is intended for naive front end users. Is there any possibility that the 12 hr format will be extended to the event submission forms?

I'm trying to build a site that will be friendly to arts groups that may not have a tech savy moderator or manager. For many in the US the 24 hr format is a bit strange. I realize however it involves a lot of code to provide what in the end is a rather meager functionality. You do support the 12 hr format in the output listings which is much more important. I am fine with providing instructions to the user to think 24hr on input.
