The update is done 'automatically'. i.e. the file that is in your customer area under 'Order History' is the only file you will ever see but Tuan updates/replaces it as the new versions are released. I just downloaded mine and if you look at the dates of the files you will see that it is the latest. Hope this helps.
Now do I have to uninstall the old version from my site before I install the new version? If that's the case, will it erase everything that I have done?

@Erin : To update is simple if you haven't modified anything in the extension. Just uninstall the old version and install new version. All the old data(configuration, events...) will be kept .
