Make additional payment to a partially paid registration

I am seeking information on how to make additional payments to partially paid registrations. I am able to make the first payment for an event but I cant figure out how to go back and make the balance payment. Please advise. Thanks in advance for your help.

Is there a way to record a partial payment towards the balance instead of the entire balance?

We have someone who paid the deposit, a 3rd party sends us a check for 1/2 of the balance and the registrant will be paying the other 1/2. How can we apply the 1/2 payment from the 3rd part?

Currently, it's not possible to make multiple deposit payments. So registrant can only deposit payment at the time they register for the event, then pay for remaining amount at a later time. We do not have a way to handle multiple payments as you want
