Registration Failure Back Button and Keep Registration Field Entries

Hi. I've added a Back Button to the Registration Failure page for registrants to click on when there is an error with their credit card entry, or such. For the back button I'm using history.go(-1). When an error occurs and the back button is clicked on, it takes them back to the registration page but the form fields are cleared.

Is there a way to go back to the registration form after an error and keep the form still filled out so they can just correct the error without having to re-fill out the form again?
