Restricting edit fields to event creator. was created by Zoe White
Hello Tuan,
My site will allow the creation of events using the "Submit Event - Simple Layout" menu option.
Having set the parameters in "Submit Event Form Fields" within the configuration tab, all is as I want.
However, upon testing, if a user creates an event, publishes it and then uses the edit event function on the frontend, they are presented with the option to alter the fields I blocked within the "Submit Event Form Fields: section.
Thus, they can alter options such as:
Show custom registration URL
Show notification emails
PayPal email
Show access
Show registration access
How can I stop these fields from being visible and editable within the Event Edit area of the frontend please? If I can block them from event submission, surely I can block them from the edit screen too?
Many thanks,
Julian.

Hi Julian
I would say that they should not be allowed to edit the fields unless there is some problem with the code
Maybe you should go to Events Booking -> Configuration, look at Themes tab, set Frontend event submission form layout config option to Simple Layout, then check it again first? If the error still happens, please submit a support ticket sending us:
- Super admin account
- An event owner account
- Link to edit event page
I will check to see what's wrong and get it sorted
Regards,
Tuan
