Problem viewing pdf invoice on Mac was created by Alison
Hi All
I have a client who works on a Mac. When they try to open an invoice through the backend they get the following error message
Does anyone have a solution to this?
Thanks

I have a client who works on a Mac. When they try to open an invoice through the backend they get the following error message
The file “invoicenumber.pdf” could not be opened.
It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn’t recognise.
Does anyone have a solution to this?
Thanks

Hi Alison
What happens if you download the invoice yourself, then send it to the customer and ask him to open? Does it work?

Yes, they can then open the file when I download and send it to them.

I suggested they tried Adobe Reader but they are getting this message
"Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open 'ILEAP-activity-00000889.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."

Honestly, I have no clue about the issue. I don't have a Mac here to test, so I don't know what's the issue. Not sure if Mac support different kind of web browsers? If Yes, maybe ask them to try a different browser to see whether the error sorted?

I have the same problem (no Mac). I will suggest this to them.
Not sure if this means anything to you though? helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-error-1015-11001-update.html
