Mailchimp plugin causes event registration to hang

Hi I have EB 3.8.2
I have enabled the mailchimp plugin with the correct list id
When i register the event does process (emails sends and user registered in backend) but the registration > confirmation page in frontend does not fire making the user think their registration has not worked.
I am using the cart option for checkout.
Is there any other setting i should activate?
Should "Show subscribe to newsletters checkbox" be set to Yes?

It does not depend on Show subscribe to newsletters checkbox setting, it can be enabled or not

For this, please submit a support ticket sending us the link to the page which events are being displayed and tell us the event which we need to register to see the error

We are going to check to see what's wrong and get it sorted
