Advice needed - Multi-day event

Hi guys,

I have just started setting up a site with this package. It looks fantastic so far.
I am running a school vacation program that runs over five consecutive days, however people may buy individual day tickets or a combination of a number of days. Or they might be the whole week. The get a discount if they purchase more than one day.

I have hit a bit of a wall with how I can achive this and still have it set up as a single event as opposed to five seperate events. I also need to keep track of the total number of people for each day because there is a limited number of spots available.

I also noticed that it will only show the first day of the multi-day event in the Upcoming Events section. See attached.

1. I think you should create multiple events instead of single event. Using additional dates plugin to add all dates of that event, see eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/miscell...itional-dates-plugin

2. You should go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Activate Shopping Cart config option to Yes. By doing that, users can add multiple events to cart and register for the events they want within one checkout

3. If you want to give discount for users when they book multiple events, try to setup it using eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/basic-setup/discount-bundles

I will give it a try. I did set up additional dates but I am not sure if i have configured the shopping cart but i will take a closer look.

When I did set up an event for each separate day I was able to get it to discount if the purchase was for two or more tickets on the same day, but I couldn’t get it to discount across days i.e if they purchased Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

I think this is a needed feature as a lot of events are sold in this fashion.

I also noticed that it completely stopped sending the ticket information and the invoice to the purchaser and ticket holder. But I will post a separate message for that.

I might actually hire someone to assist with this as I only have time on the weekend and after hours and spent probably 10 hours so far with not too much progress. I got the Lavida template to make things easier and happy to support your business through further purchases.

If you know anyone that is keen for a little side project let me know.

Followed your instructions and was able to get multiple event booking to work, however after setting up the discount bundle it would not apply the discount to the mutievent booking.

Also it stopped sending the ticket and reciept to the purchaser.

I might need to get an expert onto this. Can you recommend a person very familiar with your code that works on an hourly rate. There are a few other little bits that I also want fixed, Mainly text changes to some of the fields. IE, change Member1 to Attendee1. Things like that are probably simple but they need to be fixed for my site.

I have a similar problem ... I am setting up a hunting site. There are several hunting seasons that are between a week and a month in duration. I would like to set up a ticket system where a hunter can reserve a specific number of consecutive days within each season and I need to limit the number of hunters on any given day to a specific maximum. I'd need to charge a fixed amount per day with a multiple day discount. I initially started with the use of repeating single day events with a maximum number of tickets available for each day, but it seems rather strange to have 30 events for a single hunting season. Did Matt get a better answer? Thanks!
