Upcoming events bypass was created by Paul Nout
Hello all,
I noticed that, when creating a new event, it is necessary as to first click on the detail link on the upcoming events page, to generate an URL for the event detail page and subscription.
I wonder if it is possible to bypass the upcoming events in the URL to the event. My client wants the other events not to be shown public on the upcoming events view but wants to generate a direct URL to the event for it's customers. Is this possible?
Hope I am making myself clear?

Hello
1. To generate direct event link to an event, you can create a menu item to link to event details menu option of Events Booking and select the event in menu parameter
2. However, we don't have a way to not having it shows in upcoming events page. If you want to hide it from that upcoming events page, you will need to use a workaround:
- Assign all these events into one category
- In upcoming events menu item which you created, choose the above category in the menu item parameter so that only events from that category will be displayed
- The other events (direct event) need to be assigned to different category?
Not sure if that works? Maybe you would still allow the events to be displayed, but set password for it so that only users know the password can register for the event?
