Coupon not working - using version 1.6.2,

Dear OS Solution Team,

my Team lead has requested to look into the coupon feature to use it for members to perform event registration.

I have created an event, have enabled to use coupons on Configuration setting and created coupons on the coupons tab.
I can't get it to work. When I enter a valid coupon, the registration form gives me the message "the coupon code is invalid"
What do i make wrong or what is wrong on the settings in Event booking component.

Remark:
I am using an older version, due to the fact that the web page belongs to a non-profit organization, and until now, we have used the older version very well and it is sufficient for us, but I am in the process to convince my Team lead to switch to the latest Version.
I hope, the solution can help convince him.

Honestly, we are not happy with providing support for a very outdated version (and I believe your support period was expired long time ago if you are still using that out dated version)

You can submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site, link to the registration form and tell us the coupon code you are using . We will check and tell us what's wrong

However, please don't ask us to check anything else with that very outdated version

thank you for the reply. I can imagine that it is depreciated. I will purchase the latest version very soon, but we are short before the new season, when we use the EB extention for the our "german carneval group". I am not sure, if I can switch to the latest version of Joomla and successive to the latest version of the EB extention before the season begins. Your help will give me the support the purchase of the latest version and a back up solution for usage of the current EB. I will send you a support ticket soon.

Hi Andreas

As replied via support ticket, the issue causes by System - Non-SEF to SEF plugin. I configured that plugin to exclude com_eventbooking component and it's now working as expected
