Creating a $user directory for images was created by teddirez
The images directory is getting bogged down with thousands of images, not only slow to load but near impossible to find the uploaded image efficiently. Is there a way we can customise the upload directory to add the username as a subfolder?

Hello
It's not possible at the moment. If I understand, you are talking about events uploaded from frontend of your site? If so, I can try to find a solution for it in next release

yes that's right, that way their top level directory is their own and not a combined directory. That'd be great if it can be included. Don't forget the event_link bug as well

The email notification for front end users sends a admin link to edit instead of manage events from front end

thanks. I was thinking about the way other components all seem to fire the default editor plugin for uploads, which in my case is JCE. I already have that set to use a username folder by default. Hope that helps for a relatively easy option in order to solve.

JCE actually override the default media manage behavior. I will also look at that option, too, to see whether we can find a way to use JCE for uploading images
