Re-assign Custom Fields to Event Category?

Hi Tuan,

I am creating a new event that will have minimal custom fields. When I built my first Event I created lots of Custom Fields as required for that Event. When I did so Configuration -> General -> 'Assign Custom Fields to category instead of to events' was set to 'NO', so those Custom Fields would no apply to all Events that I create. Not what I want now.

If I change that setting to 'YES' will I lose all the Custom Fields that I created for the initial event?

I have created a new Category for the second Event. I would like to assign the existing Custom Fields to the initial Category that I used for that first Event, and assign new Custom Fields to the new Category related to the new Event, once I change the Assign Custom Fields to category instead of to events' setting to 'Yes'.

Hi Rick

All the custom fields will still be there. However, you will need to edit these fields, assign it to the category which the first event belong to

I see that the CFs can be assigned to All Events, or a specific one. Much appreciated.

Yes, that's correct. You can assign custom fields to all events or only to the selected events you want
