Google structured data ?

Hi Tuan,

I wanted to ask if Events Booking incorporate the Google structured data markups. The reason for asking is that some pages in my website have mulltiple Google structured data markups. Since I have one extension that already puts them in, I wanted to know if also EB puts them, and how to disable them (if possible) in EB.

Yes. Events Booking support basic structure data make up. Unfortunately, we don't have an option to remove it, so if you want to remove it, the only way is customize the layouts code

Hi Tuan, thanks for the quick reply. I suspected it was like you mentioned.

Unortunately, EB publishes wrong structured data, in the sense that it generates both "Errors" and "Warnings". So the best would be to either eliminate it completely, or correct them.

In order for me to remove them from within the component, what is your suggestion ?

As mentioned, you will need to edit the code and remove it. Depends on the layout you are using, the appropriate files need to be edited

I haven't tested yet but you can try to get this file, unzip it, upload the two received files to components/com_eventbooking/view/common folder and check the result

If i works as expected, you can move the modified files to PATH_TO_TEMPLATE/html/com_eventbooking/common folder so that the change won't be lost when you update to future releases of the extension
