Custom Fields > Problems

Hi

We use Eventbooking since Years and we like it a lot. But now we have reached a point where the tool becomes more and more confusing We have a lot of events and we use also lot of custom fields. (about 80 at the moment). And thats the point when it becomes confusing.

When i use the Custom Field List, I do not see if a field is assigned to one or more events. I see its published/unpublished but not it's assigned. Is there no way to go the other way? I start from the event and can assign Custom fields and not, I go from Custom Field and assign to events?

Or maybe a solution with filters? Show all customfields assigned to a specific Event?

Then i have another Phenomena/Bug. When a Customfield is assigned to one event, and the event is unpublished, suddenly this sepecific field is visible in all event forms. How to avoid that?

Currently, we don't have an option to assign custom fields to event from event add/edit screen. Guess this is something we will try to support for in the future, but it will take sometime

For custom field assigned to an unpublish event issue, I guess it only happens when you re-edit the custom field and save it

At that time, no event is selected for the field and the system assume it's assigned to all events. So to be more clear, it only happens if you edit that field and save it. For this, we don't have any solution. If it's really needed, I think we will have to display the unpublsihed events in the selection as well but I am afraid of doing that will cause too many events displayed and it's hard to select correct event

for starting from the event and assign Custom fields and not, going from Custom Field and assign to events.
(it also makes it easier for children events/additional dates!)

And what about Filters in the Event-Section? Show all events with a specific Custom Field? That would help a lot.

For the other Phenomna have the follwiong workaround. I have a dummy Event far in the future. Not visible for public and assigned to all Custom fields.

I just wanted to ask. Any progress with this issue?
It would be great to have this "feature". Dt Register (your competitor) can handle this since years.
