Event Booking 1.2.1 released was created by Tuan Pham Ngoc
Hi all
After Event Booking version 1.2.1 released, we continue working on it and now we release version 1.2.1. In this release, there are some important features added :
1. Events can now be assigned to multilple categories .
2. You can now create custom fields to display more information about the event (I will write a tutorial for how to use this feature abit later). Please note that the custom fields feature from preivous versions only use to collect more information about registrants. With this new feature added, you can now show extra information about your events.
3. You can now specify sender name and sender email which will be used to send emails to registrants and admin (before, the one in Joomla configuration will be used by default) .
Also, some small issues were found and fixed :
- Adding new registrants from back-end get total registration amount = 0 .
- Check permission issue when edit registrant from front-end .
To upgrade to the new version, please follow the instruction posted at joomdonation.com/index.php?option=com_ku...atid=62&id=5993#6007
I am still working to add more features to the extension at the moment and will release it in version 1.3.0 . Please suggest the features you want to improve the extension .
Thanks for supporting my development so far .
Regards,
Tuan

Silly question - where do I get the new version. Do I go to Customer Area >> Order History >> Download?
Often the files are marked with vesion1, eb1.2.1.. this file isn't
Thanks
Tim

For those reading I successfully updated the compontent.
You must back up up my language/en-GB/ en-GB.com_eventbooking.ini file to save your translations
Uninstall the Event booking.
Installed the downloaded the Eventbooking using the joomla installer
No problems.

hi,
Is it possible to only update the component or do you have to uninstall it and the re-install it? What happens then to all events that are allready add to the system?
Can upload and overwrite the files via ftp?
Thanks,
jonas

The only feature that this system needs to be perfect, in my eyes, is the need for booking multiple events in one payment.
I know that you have mentioned that this is coming, but do you know approximately when this feature will be released?
I ask, because if it is not coming any time soon, I may need to implement it myself in order to meet my project deadline.
Anything you can comment about when you expect it to come would be great.
Thanks
Elliot

Hi Tuan
I have been looking around for information on how to add custom fields to the event description, as you described in the version release.
Could you let me know if you have been able to write something about this please?
Thanks
Danny
