Hi Tuan,

I created an event with Price 0 (zero), I registered 4 users in Group and it went smooth but when I went back to the event. I'm still seeing the Register (Individual) and Register (Group) buttons and I clicked on Group and did it again and I was able to register again.

Why is that? And the weird part is I am able to register the same Group Members again which was auto filled. I went to Registration History and I am seeing two registrations for the same Group/Members on the same event.

On Paid event, I can only register once.

Thanks,

Jackson

Hi Jackson

If I understand your issue correctly, you can go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Prevent Duplicate Registration config option to Yes and it will solve this issue

Hi Tuan,

I saw that feature and it's good to have. As improvement to this feature, may I suggest that if you get a chance to change the logic to not allow the same Registered Names? Well, there might be a chance that two person of the same name should be registered but the form can be made to ask the user something like:

"The names John Doe, Jane Doe is already registered. Are you sure you want to register these names again?"

It creates a less confusing process for the end user that way compared to not having any clue what is going on.

Another suggestion is when duplicate registration is enabled (or not), a BS label or badge or note that says something like:

"You have already registered for this event..."

Thanks,

Jackson

Hi Jackson

1. The extension does not use name for checking duplicate registration. It only rely on ID of user (if logged in) or email for checking duplicate registration. Name is not checked here and honestly, I won't change current logic

2. I believe if you logged in, registered for an event which enabled this option and then access to the event again, there would be a message like that displayed already
