Log-out registrant from website after registering for event? was created by Rick
Hi,
Apologies if this has been answered previously. If so my Forum search wasn't accurate enough.
Is there a way to automatically log-out a user from the website once they have completed their Event Booking registration for an event?
I have 'User registration integration' enabled so when new user registers (providing username and password) it creates a Registered user on the website. After they then complete the event registration, they can log-in again after validating the email address. When they log-in again they can add another registration as I have allowed multiple registrations by choice. They then stay logged into the website as a Registered user. I'd like to have them automatically logged-out of the website once their event registration is completed and processed.
Because if I have Cancel Registration enabled and they are still logged-in to the website, when they cancel a new registration it cancels all their existing event registrations that have been completed using that username and password.
For the time being I have disabled Cancel Registration.
Thanks, Rick

Hi Rick
Unfortunately, we don't support this option. There is no way to logout users automatically after registration complete. So if they want to log out, they will have to do that manually themself

Hi Tuan,
Thanks for the quick answer. This must be an issue for other users who want to integrate event registrations with website user creation for benefits like MailChimp integration if the user selects 'Yes' in a custom field to join an external mailing list.
A quick look at the Joomla! Extensions directory shows an extension called Quick Logout that uses the Joomla update system.
I guess the alternative for me is to disable User registration integration in Event Booking then issue any mailouts to registrants through EB, but doing the mailouts though MailChimp would be my first preference.
Cheers, Rick
