Moving Registrant (Additional Dates) was created by Dave Johnson
Hi,
Although it is very easy to move a registrant from one event to another, this doesn't seem to work when trying to move a registrant between events which were created using the "Additional Dates" plug-in.
My scenarios is:
I have one event on a certain date but the event has different sessions throughout the day (for instance, 9am, 10am, 11am). I created one event and then added 2 additional events (plug in enabled) on the same date but different times.
I have a case now where someone contacted me to say that they have booked on the 11am event but want to change to the 10am event. If I open the registration record for that person, I can see the event listed 3 times with the date shown, but the time is not shown so all 3 events appear the same. Whichever one I change it to, the registrant stays booked on the original time. Is there any way to move this type of registrant?
Thank you
Dave

Hi Dave
Maybe you can go to Events Booking -> Configuration, look at Date Format config option, change it to include time parameter (for example, to m-d-Y g:i a), then in the event dropdown, you will see both date and time of the event and can choose the correct event?

Hi Tuan,
This does allow me to easily see which event to change to, but it doesn't change the numbers registered.
Imagine I have 2 events, both on the same day, 1 at 10am and 1 at 11am. I have 2 people booked on the 10am event and 2 people booked on the 11am event.
I want to move one of the 10am people to 11am. I find the registrant and use the event drop down to change the event. So far so good. The change has worked and the person is now registered on the 11am event. So I should now see that 1 person is registered on the 10am event and 3 people on the 11am event. BUT... It still shows 2 booked on each event, even though this not correct. Is this a bug?
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave
That depends on how these users registered for the event. If it's an individual registration, then it will work. If it's a group registration, you will have to move the whole group to new event (mean edit the billing record, change that record to new event and it will be fine)
So to be more clear, you cannot move a group member record to new event. If it's a group registration, you will have to move the whole group to new event

Hi Tuan,
Ah, I didn't think of that!
Thank you so much. That works perfectly.
