Error Message - Registration Failure while trying to process payment

Hello,

I have a client who received this message when trying to make a purchase.

"REGISTRATION FAILURE"
"The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive."

I have gone into the Authorize.net account, double checked the API and Transaction Keys and both are correct.
Authorize.net says the account is live and ready to take transactions.

Does this have to do with my client's Authorize.net account or the joomla user account?

I'm not sure where to start looking to get it resolved.

Can you give me any advice where I can begin fixing this issue?

Hi Mike

It's a problem with your Authorize.net account. Access to Events Booking -> Payment Plugins, click on os_authnet payment plugin to edit, make sure you enter correct value into API Login and Transaction Key parameters, set the payment plugin to Live Mode, too

Also, edit the event, look at Advanced settings tab, check and make sure Authorize.net API Login and Authorize.net Transaction Key parameter is empty inside that event setup

Then check it again

That was it! After I removed the API and Transaction Keys from the Advanced Tab in Event, a client was able to process payment successfully! Thanks for the fantastic support and for the dedication.
