Query string for calendar view

I have created a calendar view and also passed a specific event id to display the events in that particular category. This works fine but when i change the month (select a new month from the dropdown), the calendar shows all the events in all categories and not just the initial category i displayed in using the query string. is there a way to solve this? I dont want the selection of month to cause the calendar to show all events

The Calendar view doesn't have a way to allow you to select category to display events in Query String, so I don't know why you can setup it to have it works like that?

I think the only way to setup would be creating a hidden menu item to display calendar from Category you want, then use ID of that menu item for Itemid variable in Query String and it should work well
