Front End Publisher - Bug on Min Number of Registrants For Group Registration was created by Eric Lamy
Hi,
On front end publishing you only have the choice for "Max Number of Registrants For Group Registration" and not for "Min Number of Registrants For Group Registration". So if you set MAx to X Min will be set to 0...
Is it possible to have the "Min Number of Registrants For Group Registration" to 2 by default or to allow Front End Publisher to set themself this Min ?
Thx by advance for your answer and have a nice day

Hi Eric
I will check to see why that settings are not available on frontend and get it sorted
However, in case it is not set, default value use for registration should still be 2. Could you please try to register for an event has min set to 0, to see whether the system force you to register for minimum 2 registrants?

Hello,
a long time ago, I already asked Tuan to create a configuration parameter such that the site administrator would be able to define the default value for minimum number of registrants for group registration by himself instead of having it hardcoded to 2.
This would help me very much with my events. I allow group registration with only one member, because parents register one or more childs for an event.
I do not have events created from the frontend.
Sincerely,
Léon

Hi Léon
Actually, you can set it for each event. So you can edit event from administrator area of your site, set Min Number of Registrants For Group Registration parameter of that event to 1 and it will work well. In case you leave that setting empty, it will default to 2
Maybe you need to configure default value when no value is entered (so that you don't have to enter that setting for each event) ?

Hello,
I know how to set the Min value to 1 for each event. That is what I do now.
My answer to your question is YES. That is my wish. This would make the event management easier for me, because if someone other than me creates an event an forgets to set the value to 1, than I must login to set this value in order to make group registration work as expected.
Sincerely,
Léon

I shall be glad if this feature (custom default group number) is included in the next release. Otherwise, it will be useful if min number is also shown in the frontend. I have events created from frontend and I need to log in the backend to change this.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hello Kiko
What kind of frontend event submission layout you are using? Is it default or simple layout? Could you please attach a screenshot of the page so that I can look at it?
Adding this parameter to layout is easy and we will be happy to add it

Thanks, Tuan.
It is simple layout because I want to keep things as easier as possible for my event managers, although I really need allow min group members set to one.
I attach a screen shot anyway.
