A user can subscribe with an already created username

Hi,

I met a problem that i can't manage to solve :

I'm using EB 3.1.5, Jooma 3.8.5 and Community Builder 2.1.3

Allow user registration duringevent registration is set to Yes in EB configuration.

Here is my problem : When a user (let's say "user2") register to an event, if the user try to use an already used username (used by "user1"), there is a warning message (that's ok) however, he can still register to the event, as if there is no error.
More, when it's done, the registration event is then linked to the (already used) username; so :

• User2 isn't really registered in the website (his account ins't created),
  User1 can now see a new registration to an event he doesn't asked.

I tried differents things :

• To set the Joomla process registration to "NO" (and CB registration to "YES"). --> Doesn't change anything,
  To set to "YES" in the EB configuration : "If set to Yes, the system will use CB API for saving user account. This is usually needed if you want to use CB to send confirmation email to user when the account being created (instead of the standard Joomla core confirmation email)" --> Then the registration is not linked to "User1", but to ... nobody (and no new account created).
  I also tried to create an account out of EB on the CB registration page, and that works normally : If the username is already used, i can't validate my account creation.

Can you advice me something please?

Look like a bug, then. I will check and if it is valid, I will fix it in the next version 3.3.0 which I am working on at the moment. Should be released sometime this week

Just want to update that I have the code implemented to validate username and password better. It will be part of next release 3.3.0 which I am testing at the moment.

So when you update to next release, the issue will be sorted

Great News!

However, i use the EB V3.1.5 version : I can renew my membership (which ends on january) however i would like to keep my version, as there is some hacks (somes you 've done) i don't want to lose... Can you tell me if i just can change a file or php code?

If not, il will update to 3.3, but as my site is in production, it's more complicated for me...

If so, I guess you can renew your subscription as a way to pay for this manual modification. Then submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site and link to events page so that we can work on this customization for you for the time being

Ok, here are the news :

I rebought Event Booking, and finally update my files to EB 3.3.0 version, so i don't need ticket, thank you,
I tested and now it's ok : a user can't register to an event if he use an existing login, and he receive a warning. Perfect!
