How can a non-member cancel his registration for an event?

You can go to Events Booking -> Emails & Messages, find the message which is sent to registrants when they register for your event, enter the tag [CANCEL_REGISTRATION_LINK]

Then the link to cancel registration will be sent via email. Users can check their email, click on that link to cancel the registration

Does the cancel link tag work for in a reminder email?
ie... your event is in 2 days. If you can't attend please cancel here: [CANCEL_REGISTRATION_LINK]

And can this be used for a non registered user now?

Hi Robin

We don't support that tag in reminder email, so it's not possible. However, it's easy to add support for it, so I will work on it and make it available for using sometime this week

With that tag, users don't need to login to cancel their registration
