Recurring Events and under age discounts was created by Daniele Coppola
Hi,
I'm using Event Booking version 2.13.2 and for some reason I don't see the recurring event session when I create a new event.
In configuration the 'Activate recurring events' is on Yes. I've also tried to update the component from the back-end of joomla but it says; Failed to download package. Download it and install manually from www.joomdonation.com/index.php?option=co...ckage&document_id=56 .
Then when I go on that link I get a 403 error.
Any suggestion on how to abilitate the recurring event?
Also how do I manage to show different prices for adults and children on the same events?
Thank you very much,
Danny

Hi Danny
1. You need to create a new event to see recurring settings. So I guess you didn't see it because you are editing an event, not creating new event
2. For showing adult and children price, I think you can use event custom fields feature, see eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/basic-s.../event-custom-fields
3. To update to latest version, you need to configure Download ID for your site, see eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/getting...on#use-joomla-update
Please try that and let us know if you need more help
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
thank you very much for your help.
Thank you very much again
thank you very much for your help.
Solved1. You need to create a new event to see recurring settings. So I guess you didn't see it because you are editing an event, not creating new event
I've created the two fields I needed, my question now is how can I make those fields the only two prices showed, make people able to choose how many children or adults tickets they want and very important how can the price be built accordingly with the number of different ticket selected?2. For showing adult and children price, I think you can use event custom fields feature, see eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/basic-s.../event-custom-fields
Thank you very much again

Hello Daniele
1. If you only want to Adult & Children Price, maybe instead of using event custom fields as I suggested, you can enter price directly into Price Text setting of the event instead of using event custom fields as I suggested earlier. For example, you can enter Adult Price: 100$, Children Price: 80$ and that price will be displayed. Try it and let me know if it works.
The other option is set Price of Event to 0, and go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Show Price for Free Event to No and use events custom field as you configured earlier
2. To allow users to choose number of adult and children and charge them the appropriate price, you need to use custom fee field (Can be List or Textbox custom fee field). See eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/basic-s...ds/custom-fee-fields , try to setup it and let us know if you need more help
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
thanks again for your support.
I have just solved all the above by adding custom fields and changing a couple of labels here and there.
I have now a problem which I think only you can solve.
If you go here www.londontoursandevents.com/see-london-by-night , scroll down to the calendar and try to change month you'll see that the name of the month will always remain on January even when you change month.
Any suggestion of why this happen?
Please let me know if you want me to open a new topic for this.
Thanks

Hi
That causes by some changes in Joomla core API in version 3.7.0 If I remember correctly. You need to update your site to latest version of Events Booking and everything should work as expected
