Registered users have html tags stripped from description

From the front end submit, users can enter details ok and save but the html tags are stripped from the description. Registered user group ACL has been adjusted to allow submit from front end and can do so, just the tags such as ul, br, p, strong etc get stripped.
They work ok for super user from the front end. I have tried with both tinymce and JCE editors with the same result

Hi

It is controlled by Text Filter settings of your Joomla site. Go to System - Global Configuration, look at Text filters tab, configure it for Registered group to be the same with other group (for example, Default Black List) and the issue should be sorted
