Translation are missing on front was created by Eric Lamy
Hi folks,
I'm using EB on a french website and on the front I don't have the right strings for EB, for example this :
Of course I have the latest language file and this Joomla is not multilanguage.
Do you have any idea on the things I have to do to have the complete EB in french on front and back ?
If yes you'll win a complete translation in french
Thx by advance for your answers and have a nice day
Joomla 3.8.5, EB 3.2.1, PHP 7.0.26

Hello Eric
1. Get the frontend language file language/fr-FR/fr-FR.com_eventbooking,ini and backend language file administrator/language/fr-FR.com_eventbooking.ini , translate the missing language items and it will be OK
2. If you can share the files back after translation completes, that would be great
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
First let me wish you an Happy new year, I read that in another post
In a second way I know were are language files and how to translate them. My problem is that the website display a mix between english and french files, for example look at this page : www.ifsh.fr/index.php?option=com_eventbo...catid=11&Itemid=1776
It's a french website and only french and if you look you'll see some strings in english like "Registration start Date" or "Register (individual".
These strings are already translated in the ini file since a long time see attached file)
So is there a way to fix EventsBooking to french only ?
Thank you for your answers
Eric

For information I used Joomla substitution String to have the translation in french. It seems taht if I upload again the language pack from the last version of EB, lots of strings are translated but I can't see the modification I have made on my own file.
I will finish these files in french so you'll have them for the next release

Hi Eric
Could you please explain more details about Joomla substitution String? For your information, if you use a none English package, then you should not re-upload the language package from Events Booking when you update the extension, otherwise, the modification you made will be lost
We can only keep the the translation of English language package on update at the moment
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
I understand that and there's no problem to upload again the language pack if needed. My problem is that my translations, in /language/fr-FR/fr-FR.com_eventbooking.ini is not used on front end. For exampla the string EB_REGISTRATION_START_DATE is already translated in this field but on frontend I have the english string published.
So I've added an override in Joomla to have this in french
I don't understand why french translation are not choosen on frontend, if you have any idea
Have a nice day,
Eric

Maybe it is because the french language file was broken for some reasons. and that's the reason it is not used
Maybe you upload the file here, we will take a look at it and get it corrected (not very soon as I mentioned elsewhere, we are still on new year holiday here these days until Wednesday next week)
Regards,
Tuan
