Blank Attendee Information

Some group registrations for an event are showing up with blank attendee information. The registration proceeds normally and we find out the problem when the registration notice email is sent showing the blank fields. The registration records look normal except for the missing fields. Those fields are required on the registration form so the user can't skip them. We recently implemented Paypal for payments, but the problem has occurred for both Paypal and Pay by check or cash at the event.

I'm not sure what you are asking. There are 34 registrants showing for the event, which is the correct number who are actually registered. This includes the 2 couples where the attendee information is blank. Each registrant has a unique ID number if you need those.

Yes, I understand now. Look like the group members data stored in session was lost for some reasons. Does the issue happens recently only? Did you also update your site to Joomla 3.8.4 recently? There was a bug related to session which might be the reason causing the issue

For your information, here is the PR which I proposed to fix it github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/19514 . It will be included in 3.8.5 which should be released soon

I am still on Joomla 3.8.3. Also EB 3.1.4. We recently started using Paypal. We had been using pay at the event only. On this new event we have many correct registrations using both Paypal and pay at the event. Of the 2 registrations that had blank attendee information, 1 was with Paypal and 1 with pay at the event.

To be honest, I have no other clue about this issue. Please continue monitor it and let us know if it ever happens again. Maybe it is just a special case

Ok, I will watch and let you know if there are any recurrences. To date we have only had the 2 occurrences.
