Frontend submit event location: could be duplicate? was created by davide
Hi Staff,
enabling the frontend event locations submission, the users could be insert new locations.
But what happens if the user tries to enter an existing place?
Does EB recognize that the place already exists?
And eventually does the user have the right to check whether the place is already present?
many thanks!

Hi Davide
No, EB does't recognize and could not prevent it. The workflow should be when users submit event, if they don't see location exist, submit a new one. If the location is already exist, choose the existing location instead of submitting a new one

On "submission event form" if the user doesn't compile the location field, the event submission could go on or is it stopped by the missing location field?
Many thanks!

Location is not a required field, so the system will still allow the event to be submitted without choosing a location

Return on question,
when the user submit a new location, this one is just published or is it only added but not published? (aka need redaction intervention for publish it)
many thanks again!

Well I've understand.
Another question if possible, always relative to submission events form:
How is it possible to set the max image size for the users?
Eventually should be fine set the upload path for the users too.
Many thanks again

Hi Davide
Sadly, this is also not supported, too. We should implement some kind of restriction like that in the future, but for now, it is not supported yet

Since checking the KB of the sent images is critical,
for now should be possible opening a ticket, set a fixed upload size via PHP code?
Many thanks
