I have just discovered the downloading the xls file of the participants is browser dependent.

Using Safari on mac OS I did download the file without any trouble. However I have been noticed by the events owners that the cannot get the file.

I made a test and this is the result

Download Participant file from Frontend is working with
Safari on Mac OSX
Firefox on Mac OSX
Firefox on Windows 10

Download Participant file from Frontend is not working with
Chrome on mac OSX
Chrome on Windows 10
Edge (ie) on Windows 10
IE on Windows 7 or XP

Has anyone seen the same issue ?

Regards
Lionel

Hello Lionel

To be honest, I don't have any clue with it. I am using Chrome on Windows 10 on my daily works and it is working well

Not sure if there is any other customers have same issue like that?

Regards,

Tuan

Hi Tuan

To me more accurate, downloading the participant file with Chrome or Internet Explorer works when using module "up-coming events" with a clik "Export Registrants" button
I does not work from menu index.php?option=com_eventbooking&view=registrants using also "Export Registrants" button.

Hi Lionel

Maybe it is because you are having too many registrants? On index.php?option=com_eventbooking&view=registrants, try to select an event from events dropdown so that only registrants of that selected events will be displayed, then press Export button in the toolbar to only export registrants of that selected events to see whether it works?

Tuan

In this case, please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site and tell us exactly what we need to do to see the error

We will then check to see why it happens and get it sorted

Tuan

We have the same problem downloading from Registrants List in frontend, when we use Chrome and Edge.
Windows 10 and Firefox works fine.

Hi Kaj
I found a workaround. I display a module "Latest events" on the site. The "Download Registrant" button displayed when you clic on an event is working regardless of the browser.

I am confident, I opened a ticket and I am pretty sure that Tuan will find where is the trouble, as usual.

Thx. We have solved it by creating a new menu item, Export Registrants, and it works also for every event to download the registrants for that event.
