So now that I entered the URL you gave me into the Google Checkout field, do I need to go back into Events Booking and change the Activate HTTPS radio field from "No" to "Yes"? When I did this just a moment ago after entering the URL, I received a 403 error when trying to process an order to I had to turn it back off.

Do I need to go buy an SSL certificate and integrate it in my site? If so, where do I integrate that for Event Booking?

I am having the same issue.

As I found out, you actually do need an SSL certificate if you're using Google Checkout. It just happens to be a specific requirement for the Google Checkout processor. If you're using PayPal, you are not required to have one.

I simply installed an SSL on my Joomla website and then turned on the "force ssl" button in the parameters section and then my link worked in Google Checkout. You must have an https url.

Hi,

I'm actually having this exact same problem as well. How do I set up HTTPS?

Hello,

You will need to purchase an SSL certificate through your website host. Usually your web host can install and configure it for you. Once installed, simply go to the Joomla global configuration and choose "force ssl" for entire site. If you don't want your entire site to have https, but instead just your application, go to the menu item of your application and choose ssl under the menu item parameters.

Hope that helps.

Thanks! If i don't purchase an SSL certificate, is there a way to use the Notification Serial Number e.g. serial-number=123-456-7 as a callback instead? If not, can I ask why?

I'm not sure. I would highly recommend getting an SSL though for this kind of data. It's just a lot more secure.

Ok, we are making progress!
The single+group registration works with google checkout but after the registration is complete the confirmation/thanks you message is empty.

"Registration Completed

Thanks for registering for event . Your registration detail is as follow :

Event
First name
Email

Regards,

Events management Team"

Here is a separate issue:
Custom fields show up correctly in the email to the event admin but that data is not captured in the spreadsheet
One custom field shows up correctly in the billing/paying part and is displayed in the registrants info that we can export to excel
but we have a another custom field that captures info about the participants and no info in stored in the spreadsheet regarding name or custom fields for each participant (group registration)
