Username added to first_name field by default was created by Steve Harrison
How do I prevent username from being added to the first_name field in the registration process. I do not want the username associated with the registration! I want the default to be "No User"

Hello Steve
I don't really understand this issue. Could you please send us the link to registration form on your site and explain what I need to do to see that issue so that I can understand it better?

Hi Tuan
Our site is not live, we are currently experimenting to see what we can do and how we want to use the application.
Let me try and be more detailed with our issue...
We want to use a generic id and password so all users (approximately 400) use the same id/pw. Their email will identify who they are. There is no issues with the registration form. The user enters their information and it is stored. The issue is when we go and look at the stored information, Event Booking appends the username (id) to the firstname. example "Jane [Registrant]" with Registrant being the username (Id). You may select the registrant to view and modify their information. On this view/edit screen there is a field named user. This field maybe modified to "No User." This is what we want to be the default. Is there a way to set that no user information is attached to the registration information?
Thanks

Tuan,
It appears that we can accomplish the same thing we want, by not making the user login and just setting a password for the event.
Thanks!

Hi Steve
I understand it now, it happens because you use same username and password for all registrants. You can use the workaround you are having now (use event password) or maybe just go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set the config option User registration integration to No so that users don't have to enter username and password on registration form to register for the event
Not sure why you need same username and password? Maybe you only want users who know the password to register for the event? If so, use Event password as you figured out would be the right way
