Event cancellation default

Is there a way to enable cancellation by default? I have Simple layout turned on and it's not available there. I chose simple because the user are confused by all the choices. So if I can't enable it by default, how can I remove some of the choices on the default layout?

At the moment, it is not possible to enable it by default. In case we enable it by default, what should be cancel before date? I guess in that case, we will set cancel before date to be the same with event date so that users can cancel registration before event started?

If that works, then we can add some modification to core package, and then implement this change for you
