The ICS file is not updating the date of the course if the date changes. I originally setup one date for a course and changed it later, and the latest email confirmation still had the old date months after the course date was changed.

I just checked and don't see that how it could happen. How did you send email confirmation? Could you please try to register for the course again to see whether correct date is sent in ICS file?
