When (and how) are event URLs created?

I have an issue with URLs of events. I do a lot of group events for a fixed group of registrants, so I use to send out direct URLs of a single event to people directly.

The URLs look like this : [domain]/[eb_pagename]/[category]/[event_URL]

Now, whenever I create a bunch of events, they are instantly available in all my front-end lists (like my main view, category views and the like). The URLs, however, sometimes take up to 2 hours to be ready.

This is unfortunate, as it forces me to check and check and check if and when the URLs will be available. I also did not find a way to accelerate this process: calling the event in my browsers doesn't make a difference; purging URLs via the system options makes everything a lot worse

So, is this just me, or is this some glitch between eb and joomla? I have seen this behaviour since eb2.x, but I feel it has somehow gotten worse, but that is just my subjective feeling.

URLs are created when events are being displayed in frontend of your site. So if you want to send URLs like that, make sure you access to frontend of your site, see list of events and make sure events are being displayed
