Show / Hide Past Events

I would like to show past events on Calendar, but hide past events on category pages. The category pages are the ones that I land into through the "Event Categories module" and hence there is no menu item associated with these categories.

Is there a way to achieve this without modifying the source code?

1. Go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Hide Past Events config option to Yes

2. Edit the menu item which is linked to calendar view, set Hide Past Events config option to No

After that, it should work as expected
