Fee field formula was created by Tim
Hi

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I may just be missing an obvious solution but I haven't been able to find an answer.

In a custom fee field, can I use a field formula in the fee values at all.

In this instance we have a custom fee field (List) that determines a fee, FEEFIELD1. Selecting an item will set the fee to X amount.

Then further down we have another List, FEEFIELD2 that we want to adjust the fee by doubling X. So rather than just adding an amount, we want FEEFIELD2 to be dependent upon what was chosen in FEEFIELD1.

Is this possible? Otherwise, we will need to create a new custom fee field for each different option from FEEFIELD1

I hope this makes sense! Thanks

Hi Tim

The question is not very clear to me. Maybe you can send me the link to the form and explain how it should work so that I can understand your question better and give you a way to setup it

Regards,

Tuan

Hi Tuan

Thanks for your quick reply.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about powertochange.org.au/event-example

In this instance, FEEFIELD1 adds either $100 or $175 to the price. Then FEEFIELD2 has 2 options. Can I have these options modify the price based on what was selected in FEEFIELD1.

So I would like to simply DOUBLE the price, for example. But it seems I'm only able to add an amount in the Fee Field Values, rather than a formula.

Does this make more sense? I'm looking to modify the fee but not with simply an amount. It would either be taking the current fee and doubling it or adding on the amount again that was added on in FEEFIELD1

I'm trying to avoid generating more custom fields, but I think I might need to in order to make this work

You actually can use fee formula for FEEFIELD2

For example, if users choose Option 1, the fee amount will be FEEFIELD1 multipled by 2

If they choose Option 2, then the fee amount will be FEEFIELD1*4 for example

It is hard to explain, so maybe you can send us super admin account of your site so that I can make a sample setup for you so that you can check to see whether it meets your need or give you better idea

I would have to check for permission in terms of giving you Super Admin access.

Thanks

Hi Tim

Yes. But we first need to verify your order first (sorry for asking but I don't see your under your account). So please submit a support ticket let us know the email you used to purchase the product or PayPal Transaction ID of your purchase

After that, we will guide you directly from there. Once it works, we can put the instructions here, too
