Later Paypal payment was created by Andrea Prando
Hello,
I have a problem with paypal payment.
When you sign up for an event but do not complete your payment through Paypal, you must be able to pay later.
How can I do it?
Thanks

Hi Andrea
At the moment, there is no way to pay for it. So users will have to re-register for that event
Something we will add support for in next release. However, to be able to do that, they must have an account, login and then access to Registration History to see that old record and make payment
It will take time to implement, thought. Might be 4 to 6 (or even 8 weeks) as I need to work on other new features, too

This would be a good feature. For all payment processors too please?
But - could we think about if they really need an account - either can one be created on the fly? And so they would be sent a username (email address?) and password in an email -- I'm sure one off visitors won't want to create an account on my site even though its only entering a uname/pass... ...OR better a link sent in an email that allows direct access to the registration. That would need to be 'secure' or it could be hacked by a bot randomly trying a link... ...ask for an email address? Needs to link a hashed string to the email address to open the registration page which they could then edit and resubmit for payment?

The problem is that at the moment, if they don't make payment, the system doesn't send email, so there is no way to send that kind of link to user email so that they can clicking on to make payment
Another way is adding a menu option to allow them to enter email address, then find the latest registration which needs payment and allow them to process payment
However, you will need to create an extra menu item called Make Payment or something like that. Not sure if it is good
So I think having an account would be easiest way
Regards,
Tuan

yes, in my case, the user can register at an event only if she has an account.

Hi Andrea
We haven't had this feature implemented yet, so it is not possible at the moment. Something only possible for future releases of Events Booking (hopefully next release)
For now, as I said, users will have to re-register for the event and make payment

So in my head I'd ideally like to:
- Show that same link (or a button with the link behind it) when CardSave declines the payment. We have high level of security checks on the payment and it is amazing how often they fail to enter the right address and payment fails. But taking them back to the original form to "re-try" payment would be good, rather than re-doing the entry.
- If they don't follow the link on a failure - send an email with the link say after 30 minutes... ...or if they got to say CardSave page and cancelled the browser at that stage.

At this time, I am unsure if I can do that. Need to spend more time to think about it before making final decision. Right now, still focus working on some other features before working on this one
