Can't see Master Event was created by Ian Hyde
Hi Tuan,
Interesting.
Set up a site (test) with a recurring event for 3rd August 2017. Event recurs for 180 days.
Unfortunately, when I list events, it only shows child events which means that because the "sell by" date has passed for the original/master event - any changes I need to make seem to be that I must make them to every child event - individually.
Not too helpful.

Hi Tuan,
OK sort of found it "display past events".
Problem is that access to the mother record updates, or seems to, all events.
So, let us surmise that there may have been an update in the tax rate charge that applies from event 80 onwards.
I don't want events 1-79 updated - only event 80 to end.
How do I deal with that please?
This was only highlighted by me trying to copy and paste from one test site to a different test site.

Hi Ian
There is no way to do that, sorry. If you want to update children events, all children events of that parent events will be updated. There is no option to allow only update part of these children events. The only way is that you have to click on these children events and edit it one by one
Regards,
Tuan

Thanks Tuan,
honest response!
I didn't think it would be possible but, with that knowledge, we are forearmed.
I remember writing a system in about 1997-8 when most of Europe were taking on the Euro. They ran on dual currencies.
This was for the insurance and financial markets.
Local currency rates fluctuated against the Euro at that time so we had to log either the local currency value or the Euro value applied along with the exchange rate for that day, between the two, so that if any adjustments had to be made, retrospectively, the the exchange rate at the transaction date was applied.
That was fun.
