Voucher sales

Is it possible to offer vouchers for sale on the site? This would allow users to buy a gift voucher that could be redeemed against any event within a specific category. The recipient of the voucher could use it as a coupon during registration for any event (or repeat of an event) within a specified time - e.g. one year.

Unfortunately, it is not possible. The extension doesn't have a way to allow selling vouchers on the site. It is however, allow you to create Voucher coupon type (coupon which can be used intil the discount amount you received reach the amount you setup/configure for the coupon)

I added the Eshop and use that to sell vouchers, I then manually create a unique code once they buy a voucher and add that code into my events booking. It works well albeit a little long winded. When I get time I am going to have a go at automating the voucher code creation

I bought this component with the assumption that you could purchase a gift certificate to any of the events I list, and now there's no way to do this? I really need this solution or the Events Booking component will not work for us.

The extension allows you to setup vouchers, however, it doesn't have a way/option to sell voucher directly on the site through Events Booking (I don't see any other events registration extension support this option)

So you can try to sell vouchers via other extension like Steve did. Otherwise, if you really need it to be handled via Events Booking, we will have to refund the money of your purchase because I have no plan for adding support for this feature in near future (there are still other more important features I want to focus working on first)

Could you explain how it works for your case? What happens when someone registers and paid for the event which you created? You create the voucher and email them manually?

We also need a Gift Certificate option for our programs as well. Has there been anything developed for this?

Nicole, I see how you set up your coupon, but not sure how you work the process? Can people print off a coupon or do you need to give them a code? How do you manage the "event" you set up to do this. Is there anything further you can give us as to how you manage this?
