Deposit Completion in 1 Transaction was created by Donal
Hi,
At the moment, I have 1 actual event, split into 2 EventBooking events, for junior and senior kids. I use the cart and I collect member details. I accept deposits until a certain time before the event.
A parent registers a junior child and a senior child, and secures their place by paying a deposit. So there is a completion payment to be made through EB. At the appropriate time, EB sends 2 emails requesting payment, and the customer must complete 2 individual transactions to complete the payment.
Can this please be changed to 1 EB email with 1 deposit completion transaction required.
Having 2 seperate transactions is:
1) Confusing to the customer
2) Is more work for the customer
3) Can lead to work for us, as I often need to chase customers who have only completed 1 of the payments.
4) Costs us in transaction fees
Any chance, Tuan?
Thanks,
Donal

I will have to think to see whether we could implement something like that. Right now, when cart is used, registration for each event is actually independent, that's why there would be multiple remaining payments. It is not supported now, but we might be able to support it in the future

Tuan

Hi Tuan,
I'm doing the accounts at the moment, and the seperate treatment of registrants, when it comes to multiple deposit completion payments is proving very difficult to deal with.
Having looked in the tables, you have a couple of things to link the items together... 1 is cart_id and the second, probably more useful field is registration_code.
Could you update the deposit completion so that
1) Only 1 email request is automatically sent requesting the total
2) [DEPOSIT_PAYMENT_LINK] shows the total remaining to be paid for the multiple reigstrations.
3) 1 Deposit Completion required for multiple event registrations
This change would make your system consistent. At the moment, a transaction with multiple events but with 100% payment up front is treated differently to transactions with multiple events, but paid using a deposit, followed by a completion payment. (PS: Ticket types with waiting lists per type and collection of each individual details would solve this issue
Do you think this is possible?

Donal

Hi, It would be great if this issue was fixed before the second week in June. I will have loads of deposit completion payments to collect then.

Hi Donal
Honestly, I won't have time to look at it very soon. Something not really easy to implement and also, not very widely used
I will try to look at it again when I have some more time, right now, still busy with other development
