phone validate isn't working

how to solve?

Our client is now also asking for a standard Phone Number format in the Phone field.

We have changed the "Date type validation" type to "Phone"

The following appears in "Validation rules" - validate[required,custom[phone]]

However there is no defined format such as: (801) 223-2176 or 801-223-2176.

Is it possible to solve this or to get a verified format?

We use a library called jQuery Validation Engine for validation posabsolute.github.io/jQuery-Validation-Engine

Honestly, I am not good enough for this kind of customization (I am not really good in javascript), so if you want to change it, maybe find someone who is good at javascript to do the change for you

The file needs to be changed is components/com_eventbooking/helper/jquery.php, the code is around line 282

Regarding EventsBooking upgrades, does this file "jquery.php" update when we update EventsBooking?

If yes, I assume we can simply restore the original file with our customizations; is that a good solution for updates in your opinion?

I don't know anyone who can do this job. So please try to find a developer to do it for you

Once you had it working, send me the file. I will help implement it using override so that you won't have to restore it after updating to future releases of the extension
