Event Year in Invoice prefix

Hi folks.
I feel embarrassed to ask this, it is probably so simple..... but.....

Can I put the YEAR of the invoice creation into the Events Booking (ver 3.0.0), Invoice Prefix in configuration????
I have tried "INV[YEAR]-", but of course, that did not work.

Also, and NOT important.... can I reset the invoice number back to 1 at the start of each year?

Unfortunately, in current version, we don't support this [YEAR] tag. And invoice also could not be reset every year. If there are more customers requesting for it, I will consider adding support for in the future

that is absolutely NO problem!!!! It was just a nice-to-have, and everything about your extensions is fantastic..... (Makes me happy now that I couldn't find it.... at least I am not going crazy, as I first thought!!

So.... I will get around it by just changing the prefix at the start of the year....

Missing a Button to reset invoice Number.. this is a must in Germany

Reset invoice number? Exactly how it should work? Could you please give us a detailed explanation so that I can understand and consider adding support for it in the future if it is really needed?

I faced this today. We set invoice prefix to PMI-GC-22 and got some invoices last year. To get 2023 invoice numbers we now set the prefix to PMI-GC-23.

However, it would be nice to have
1. support [YEAR] tag in prefix (or [yy] for 2 number year, maybe also MM DD like PHP date format, www.php.net/manual/en/datetime.formats.date.php )
2. reset the appended counter if prefix changes

The first would be nice for knowing the year of invoice without looking into the PDF. The second would be helpful to know there is nothing missing and to prevent overflow in the counter for that year.

So guess we would set prefix PMI-GC-[YEAR]. I guess you store the invoice numbers in database, so you can do a select max(invoice_number) where invoice_number like '<Prefix>%' and of cause prefix tag YEAR evaluated to 2023.

In the current version of the extension, you can use the following tags in the Invoice Prefix:

[YEAR_LAST2_DIGITS]
[YEAR]

That should work exactly for your need
