Required custom fields/validation not working

I am setting "Required" status on some of my custom fields for the registration form - they show up with a red asterisk and LOOK like they are required but you can register while leaving them completely blank!

Also, field validation is not working - I registered as something like "user@@email.com" which should obviously fail an email address validation ...

Any tips?

There might be some javascript conflict on your site causing this issue. Please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of the site and the link to the form so that we can check and solve the issue for you

You're right. There are conflicts with the MaximenuCK menu which my site uses. However, there is a setting in MaximenuCK to switch off "javascript effects" and this resolves the issue. Thanks Tuan, that was very helpful. All working as expected now.
