Waiting List

I am setting up our first form after purchasing Events Booking.
How does the Waiting List feature work? Our event goes over 4 days. For testing, I have set up the event to have a capacity of 4. In another field I have them selecting which days they wish to register for (Mon-Thurs) with each day having a quantity value of 1. When I have registered a person in a day, the check box for that day disappears. When all days are 'filled', where is the option to go on the Waiting List supposed to appear? I have also selected that 'Yes' in 'Show available places', but cannot see this anywhere on our form.

I have the registration form displaying using EB Register Plugin so that it shows in an article.

To be honest, I am not sure if waiting list can be used for this case as you have quantity custom field. That field will only be displayed if there is option left, in this case, all the options were registered/full, so it won't be displayed on registration form anymore

The waiting list also not displayed on Registration Form, so you cannot use ebregister plugin. You need to create a menu item to link to event details page (or upcoming events menu option)

When viewing event, if event is full and waiting list is enabled, there will be Join waiting list buttons displayed to allow you to click on to join waiting list

Would having the waiting list link to the quantity fields be an option for customisation of the program for our needs? I understand there would be a cost to have this done.

Honestly, it is not designed in mind to support that case, so I am not sure. I will have to look at the code again to see whether it is possible and give you the answer later today

What I would like is for a waiting list to be available for each of the days our event goes for. It is going for 4 days. Registrants can choose which days they attend. There will be a limit of the number of people who can attend each day, which I have set up in the quantity fields.

Sorry, I forgot. But maybe it is better to split it into 4 different events. By doing that. it is easy for people to choose and also, it is easier for you to figure out who attends which day of the event

I was going to test that as another option.
From what I understand, I will need to activate the shopping cart option and not be able to have group bookings?
Will they need to fill in a complete form for each day they choose to register for?
I will be having families that will have multiple children to register for multiple days and want to make the registration process as simple for them as possible.

If you activate shopping cart, the group registration option won't be available.

1. If you want them to enter data for each day, then set Collect members information in shopping cart config option to Yes
2. If you don't want them to enter data for each day, then set Collect members information in shopping cart option to No
