Dynamic Text in E-Mail Message was created by Chris
Hi
I have a custom-field type "list" called "gender" with the values "female" and "male".
How can i build a E-Mail message that uses the sentence
Dear Mrs [NAME] or Dear Mr [NAME] depending on the value i use?
I tried with two nonpublic text fields "title_f" and "title_m" with the Values "Dear Mrs" and "Dear Mr" with the Dependency to the gender field.
In the E-Mail Message field i tried this [TILTE_F] [TILTE_M] [NAME] but unfortunately it does not work.
Wrong way? Other solution? Thank you
Christoph

Unfortunately, it is not supported. A field can only be used in the message if users can select/enter value of that field on registration form. So instead of making it none public, I guess you should create a new field called eb_title for example to allow choosing Mr or Mrs on the form

Hi
Thank you for Helping, Ok. I understand. Unfortunately that works in englisch but not in german.
When i use "Herr" (Mr.)
I need "Sehr geehrter Herr"
When i use "Frau" (Ms.)
I need "sehr geehrte Frau"
Normaly in Form-Tools i have value + title . Like Herr=Sehr geehrter Herr
Maybe there is another Solution?
Thank you
Christoph

Sorry Christoph. I don't have any other solution. Honestly, Events Booking focus on handle events + process registration + manage registrants.... For fields managing purpose, it could not be flexible as other forms tool.

Tuan

Hi Tuan
Sorry, it's me again. I have still problems with the Title.
So i have a field [ANREDE]
(that means title in german).
I Use this "Tag" for the Thank you Message. And it works.
But for the Reminder-Message this [ANREDE] doesn't work.
How can i fix that?
Thank you
Crhistoph

Hello Crhistoph
We don't support all tags in reminder emails. The reason is because when sending reminders, we have to send email to many registrants at a time and if we support all the tags, we might get timeout error

Hi Tuan,
Would this feature be plannen in the near future?
I have the exact same issue in Dutch.
But I can image it can benefit every language.
For example, one could avoid to have empty (not required) fields in e-mails.
For example, the comment field could be left out if empty..
something like {if COMMENT}Comment: [COMMENT]{/if}
Thanks!
