Required field not forcing completion was created by Cahoot Creative
Hi there,
I have a form on www.croydonyoungdriver.com/booking/royal-russell which requires the applicant's Date of Birth. The other day someone managed to register without completing that field.
I've attached to screenshots to illustrate the issue, I hope you can help!
Many thanks,
Mark.

I also use a date field type to request date of birth of registrants. In my experience, there are a couple of issues with it...
1) Sometimes the date is not stored in the DB.
2) If somebody types in 15/10/07, the date gets stored in the DB as 15/10/0007. Ideally, this would be stored as 15/10/2007

Maybe the issue happens because users entered data in wrong format and it causes the issue (instead of selecting a data from calendar date picker, they entered the date value manually)
Honestly, might be a bug in current version. Give me sometime to look at it, might have to add some server side validation code for it
This should be fixed in next release 2.14.3
Regards,
Tuan

I have a required field for DOB which as of July 23rd is not storing entered data. Registrants are reporting that they definitely entered the date but it is not coming through on the database. I have version 3.0.1 currently.

Hello Peter
What Joomla version you are using? I remember there is a problem with Joomla Date Picker input, maybe you are not using latest version?
Could you please submit support ticket sending us super admin account of the site and the link to registration form so that we can try it ourself?
