Disallow spaces in usernames

I would like to disallow spaces in usernames in both Event Booking registrations and Membership Pro subscriptions.
Any suggestions on a way to implement this?
Is there any existing configuration options to restrict characters in usernames in Event Booking or Membership Pro?
Or is this something I need to control at the Joomla level?

Unfortunately, at the moment, it is not possible. The reason is because Joomla doesn't have that limitation

I will try to find a way to support it in the next release. For now, use it as how it is as Joomla allows it, too
