search in zipcode range

Is it possible to search by distance from a zipcode? I would like to have people enter a zipcode and be able to find events with a specified distance.

Unfortunately, search by distance from a zipcode is not supported in Events Booking yet. To be honest, I have no plan for it in the near future. For now, I want to work on more important features which can be used by many customers first

For specific feature like this, I think only some customers need it, so I will leave it to future development

Also would like this feature. We've had more than a few customers ask for this feature. Most every serious event search site offers location based searching right off the bat. Even has parameter to search within certain time period (next week, month, all, etc.)

Benefit of this is allowing the page to offer the EVENTS THAT MOST MATTER to a viewer right off the bat. This is an important feature to help reduce bounce rates.

If it's not going to be introduced, how much would it cost for me to pay for the development time on it? Alternatively, do you have a work around? Like making "Regions" or something?

I think this is now a basic requirement for users of websites which cover a wide geographical spread. Online businesses are not restricted to a particular locality, but span boundaries.

Is there any update on progressing this?

While I think search in zipcode range is too specific to 1 country (GPS location or map pointer selection are more generic solutions), it seems that there is a lot of customer demand for search for events by location, or within x km of a location. Most of our users are mobile users, so the phones location could be easily used.

I think you should run a survey and ask your auditors which improvement they would like first. Searching the nearest events by actual locations or by ZIP code should be in your first priority. I'm planning to create a new website for a dance company that offer classes in different country/cities and been able to search by country/region should be an option of your extension.

If you look at www.zumba.com , they have the search tool that I want to put on my website. Like others say, not taking our comments seriously about this request make you going in the wrong direction. I was ready to buy your extension because it is so complete and full of options... but this one is so necessary that I just can't go. I don't want my client to be upset not having this option. And creating categories and sub-categories with country and cities is a pain in the ass and won't look professional.

Unfortunately, I will have to wait for that option or find an extension that offer this capability.
