Event Booking Import difficulty FYI

FYI (event booking), Due to a lack of documentation on importing I have spent several HOURS trying to import 575 events into event booking>event. Success FINALLY through trial and error!
I exported an event to understand what was needed in the columns to import a large amount of events. At first it did not export correctly into Excel spreadsheet. I had to export into an Open Office Spreadsheet, then cut and paste into an Excel spreadsheet and save as a CSV file. Then I added all my event data to this spreadsheet. I had to delete the original event I exported because it would not allow me to import it as it was already in the Events. The ID column is empty, the alias I used a numbering system so as to not have to worry about the title being truncated. It finally allowed me to import all 575 Events.

Thanks for sharing Tiffany. Agree that documentation needs to be updated (not for importing events but also for importing registrants). I am working to allow import / export events custom fields, too, and maybe I will write a clear documentation after the next release
